Piney has taken his last real rid.

William Lucking, perhaps best known for his role in the first few seasons of Sons of Anarchy, has died, aged 80.

I first knew of him, albeit not knowing his name, from his small role in Stripes, as the recruiter who takes in Bill Murray and Harold Ramis as new US Army recruits.

Loved him in both roles, rest in peace, Piney...

Legendary British stage, screen and tv personality Lionel Blair has died, aged 92.

Another personality I had no idea was born in Canada (in Montreal to Russian immigrant parents as Lionel Henry Ogus), he was well known as a Christmas pantomime performer (often coming to Canada to perform where they are somewhat well known), appeared in A Hard Day's Night as the choreographer for the Beatles' fictional tv appearance in the film, and many, many UK tv performances along with many stage productions he appeared in or choreographed.

A good innings as they say...

Actor Art LaFleur has died at the age of 78 after a 10-year battle with Parkinson's disease. Arguably best known for his roles in The Sandlot (1993) and Field of Dreams (1989), to me he was one of the great "that guy" actors of recent times and I always enjoyed seeing him in movies and on television regardless of the role.
