Has some problems but I love this style - Black kettle curl - Quality No. 1. - reeded sweat but with taped rear seam (now coming apart) - pebbled leather - brown reorder tag - red size tag with three spaces - thinking 1930s? - bought at the Zion Cooperative Merchantile Institution in Salt Lake. What do you all think? Thanks!

When you said "dating advise" for your Stetson I thought you went over the edge and were looking for companionship for your hat. A blind date perhaps? A place where like minded hats can meet and allow friendships to flourish and perhaps a bit of romance?

Sorry I'm no help at all with your real question. Glad your not insane though. :).

Thank you all for responding and the kind words. I’ve been absent from the forum and the hat buying addiction for awhile. Glad to be back.

Been doing some reading on this forum last night and this morning. Moontheloon indicates 1930s from lot number but I think I read somewhere - I wish I could remember what post - that a 5xxx lot number suggests pre-1930? Is there a thread I can read about this?

Splintercellsz,

I’ve looked. Please forgive my ignorance. What is the Stetson LOT thread?

We share a weirdness as I went there too but first, having only read the beginning, groaned and thought it was looking for dating advice for self....I thought damn has the forum come to this? When I focussed and reread it was relieved to glean the real intent.

It is clear that I need to be more succinct with my thread titles.

Thanks to all who provided age opinions and threads to educate me. I’ll take 1930s era all day long.
