why can't everybody either say no or yes..

Apologies for not being very clear. I say nay! Like others have said, your natural color is wonderful. :)

Be happy with what you have - you have lovely brown hair. If you dye it, then you're also going to have to dye your eyebrows. And once you start, it's an on-going process - in a few weeks to a month, you'll have brown roots showing. Just leave it alone - there are many who would love hair like yours, and as the old saw goes, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. If you really want to try black - try a wig for a week or so. You'll probably learn it makes no big difference. And the money you save on being a slave to dyes can go into more vintage clothing and accessories.

Should I cut off my hair?!

I am sure you ladies know the feeling, I am in the mood for a change.. should I cut a lot of my hair of? I love this hairstyle below.. I think the main reason for having the urge do it, is because I never seem to be able to achieve a pretty and ladylike hairstyle with my current lenght..

yes? no?

^ Actually my hair have been fractions of an inch longer than that.. it was nice and easy to style, not to mention not having to wait 2+ hours of drying it..

The only downside would be me not being able to style the shorter hair either.. what can I say, I am eedjit with two left hands when it comes to hair (thank you Ruf for that amazing word).

Wow, Dolly, your hair must be growing out so fast!!!

I'd probably just take three inches off, with that done you should be able to do rolls with a bit of practice

Perhaps just take it off in phases. I would think if you took it off to a few inches below your shoulders you may be able to play with a few more styles. You have gorgeous hair - that many of us loungers admire. But hair does grow back.

Also have you tried re-creating a faux bob by pinning it under? I take mine (about 2" below shoulders and can make it look like its just below my ears.

My two cent's worth...

It does grow back!

I cut my hair a year and a half ago to approximate this:

I found that to be way too short! It stuck out too much, it was frustrating to only have one look, etc.

So I am back to about shoulder length, or a little above.

I find that as long as it is at shoulder length, and I can still put it up when I want to, I don't miss the length at all. When I curl it a bit tighter, it is above shoulder length. If I put it in a ponytail, I can put that through one of those net donuts, or add a fake hair braid, and it looks like I have a massive bun like this:

That way I can have the lots of hair look witout having to deal with lots of hair.

Plus, having it shorter makes it less likely for the curls to drop out due to the weight of the hair, and they don't bang around on my shoulders as much and get disarranged.

I think that hairstyle you show would look gorgeous on you! Men always say they would like us to have long and lovely locks, but my husband got over that when I made it his task to brush it out and braid it every night!

I love that word too :) I have Irish grandparents so I've been saying it all my life lol.

I think your hair is really nice as it is. But as other people have said it will grow back so maybe you should try it and see?
