Unfortunately not in person. I really like Pauls work and they both seem to be nice people. He chatted me up about a german translation he needed for a screen print illustration.

Didn't pay much attention to the clothes: too busy admiring the freckly woman in the anchor design hat.

Yes, she's gorgeous.

I have a couple of Old Town waistcoats, a striped tie, a couple of pairs of trousers (High Rise and Vauxhalls) and a Medway jacket, with a Lounge jacket on the way.

I've visited the shop in Holt and the staff are incredibly helpful.

Can anyone tell me the rise on the high-rise trousers? I find emailing Old Town for details is rather spotty... thank you in advance.

I've picked up a couple of pairs of the their drill trousers and I'm impressed. I use them as part of my traditional fencing kit, particularly for demos/exhibitions. They really look the part.

What is the weight and thickness of their tweed? I would like to put together a late 19th century Scottish stalking suit, plus fours etc. The Old Town would be a great base (I'd have to do an after sale modification on the trouser to make them into plus fours) but I'm concerned their Harris Tweed is too light a weight.

I quite fancy a pair of the vauxhalls, possibly in green cord. Might as well make use of being young and slim before it's gone. I'm going to try and pop down there when I'm next in the area.

I have a Fitzrovia jacket in the green corduroy, which is a great weight and colour.
Since my original post, I have picked up a Darcy smock/pullover shirt and am really impressed with the quality.

After several good experiences with Darcy's collars, I got one of their spearpoint collar shirts. It was wonderful except for the fact that it was so incredibly huge wearing it was like putting on a toga. A smaller size wouldn't have worked because the collar was just right. I had to send it back for a refund. Anyone else have this problem? I like the look of their fair isle sweater, but I worry it would be of equally gargantuan proportions.
