I may think about it when I see careless hat wearers, but I'd never act on it!

it makes it worse that they were at church. lol

huh?

There are so many things wrong with this story...

1. What kind of hat was it? A baseball cap? Ok, the kid deserved it. A fez? Maybe not.

2. The punishment should match the crime. You should be stabbed in the tush if you sit on someone's hat...but what does stabbing his nether cheek say about wearing the hat? That it's butt-ugly?

3. The dad stabbed his kid in the butt in church. Which is worse: wearing a hat in church or knifing your child in church? Which of the two crimes is covered by the commandments, now...

4. The dad stabbed his kid in the butt (I can't stop saying that) and ran away. Where was he going to go? A safe house for those who respect hat etiquette?

Crazy...lol

First of all I can't see stabbing someone for whatever reason.
But why stab a person in the butt?
These are strange times...watch your backsides, folks!

random thoughts on that...

1) if it was a ballcap, you all know that we've all wanted to do that at least once.

2) people complain that parents never take responsibilty for their kids, and when a father reinstitues corporal punishment he gets in trouble....

3) if it was a fedora, did he at least have a good suit to go with it?

This story makes me think the father and his son must have had a history of violence; or at least the father does. There's no way the father had never previously gotten angry with his son if all it took this time was his son wearing a hat in church.

That's one strange story. If I ever accidentally run into that kid's father, I hope I'll be wearing a pith helmet, so I can shield my backside with it as I run the other way.

Perhaps, unknown to the father, the son had concerted to Judaism and was merely observing one of the tenets of his new faith.
