I videoed Groovie Movie off the telly back in the 1980s and actually tried to teach myself to dance from it. Needless to say I didn't succeed!

Just to Bump this thread....

Dance styles of the Golden Era...

I think the most important dance is the two step, or Box Step. This 8 count pattern was also called the Fox Trot (before the Arthur Murray's 6 count or slow -slow -quick-quick).

The Box Step is where every dancer started back in the 20's and 30's....

and we all know the vast amount of dances and style that was to come to be from there and how good they did them.
