D Pocket Horsehide Double Rider (brown)?

I love Himel's Avro to pieces, but I settled on NorShor's NS1 when hunting for a d pocket. My reasoning was no belt and no sleeve zips, which to me equated to a much less moto vibe.

It's all what you're after. Theres a lot of history behind the design, and ways to do it

Buco J24 or Beck 333 for biker badass
Himel Avro or NorShor NS1 for 30s aviator badass

I rarely regret spending more for a product that I like more. Conversely, I often regret compromising on a less expensive product that I like less.

Great! Unfortunately it has been super hot and i haven't been able to wear it out, but i have been breaking it in at home and i already looks a lot more lived in than in these pictures...
I really like the fit, to the point where i was thinking about selling the Hercules to get a second bootlegger in black...

Great! Unfortunately it has been super hot and i haven't been able to wear it out, but i have been breaking it in at home and i already looks a lot more lived in than in these pictures...

@Carrie @ Thurston Bros. posted a photo of a black Vanson Arrow to the Thurston Bros. thread, and that's pretty similar, but with a slightly less vintage vibe. I'm sure that they could do a brown version.

Not a D-pocket (sorry), but this vintage jacket that I found on the Anna-Tre blog is really cool. The main zipper is slightly curved, which is an unusual feature.

I gave serious thought to purchasing this jacket, but was concerned about the sleeves being too short. I really liked the fact that it had 2 handpockets. Hadn't seen one like that before.

I saw us tagged here and thought I'd put a up the Vanson that we're working with and will soon be in stock at Thurston Bros. We're calling the jacket the Thurston x Vanson Arrow Gambler. The Gambler will be done in Black Z150 leather and nickle hardware with a black rayon liner. However, we can do the Gambler in brown colors as well. Furthermore, we're looking into veg. tanned cowhide options for the Gambler and the Daredevil, so hopefully veg. tanned/full grain/100% aniline will be an option in the future...

Awesome jacket...Reminds me of the Raider Vanson used to put out. This one looks to have a half belt, no? The Raider did not. Do you have a shot of the back? The raider had the false cuffs and a sleeve zip...is that true with this jacket? It looks spectacular!

The Gambler is a bit less "biker" compared to the Vanson Raider. The Gambler is more of a Utility Jacket/Half Belt. Here's the back of the Gambler--

The cuff is very cool...we like it a lot too!

The Arrow is $579.00 and the Arrow Gambler will be about $120.00 more (we've made some cool detail changes to the jacket to make it a bit more fancy!). If we go with veg. tanned, those veg. tanned jackets will be a bit more...

Regarding sizing, these jackets fit pretty standard...not as slim as the Daredevil but not as generously sized as the Enfield...
