Hallo.. first time poster, long-time lurker..
I'm getting all wound up and ready to order myself a D-1 after years
of toying with the idea. I'm wondering what the differences
are between the Aero and the Eastman versions. Is there one you prefer?
Seems like there are three ways to go - Eastman has their new 'broken grain'
finish, and it looks like Aero has the redskin and the dark chocolate brown.

I'm leaning towards the eastman right now.. but i'm not sure about their new finish.
(I've had one of their b-2 caps for about 10 years now and love it.) Of course,
I could get one of each if I sold my car...

thanks fellas!

I don't think you could go wrong with either one. I ordered the D-1 redskin from Aero as it was a bit cheaper and free shipping from aero usa.

Hi Ned ,I own an Aero D-1 and an Eastman C-3 vest (which has the same broken grain 1/4 " shearling as their D-1) and the Aero's fleece is almost twice as long!Whether that is a good thing or not really depends on the owner/wearer.I love my Aero D-1 but whether it is as "wearable" as the Eastman in different weather conditions,i.e warmer conditions ,probably not.But the up side of Aero is that they can tailer it to your own idividual size.
