I have a more modern Borsalino with a 2 5/8 brim that I considered too wide for me, so I went to the Hat Co Outlet in Garland, TX, and they trimmed it down to a 2 3/8 brim for only $10.00. A known hatter place in Ft Worth charges $40 to trim a hat. It turned out fine. But I did notice the flange/snap is not as distinguished after the trim. 2 1/4" brim after the trim, 2 5/8" brim before the trim.
