If only the heel was a Louis, and if only they came in silver, gold and pastels...

A friend of mine recently did a DIY version of these shoes. So conceivably you could find a basic shoe in the color/heel style you wanted and add the bows! ;)

I didn't want to start a new thread on this, but I need help with my Keds sneakers. They are white and got very dirty, spot washing did not remove it properly so I decided to wash them. First in regular soap, I let them dry and these yellow blotches appeared. Then I washed them once more in water, vinegar and baking soda. While they were wet the yellow blotches looked like they were gone, but once the shoes dried the blotches appeared again. So I tried to let them soak in Vanish. Yellow blotches still there. :( Are they ruined? What should I do? I just got them so would be sad to have to chuck them out...

And that's why I have black Keds! Okay, how about trying Oxyclean? That really has done wonders for me on yellowed vintage laces/linens in the past. You might be able to dye them if they won't come clean, but I'm not sure what product would be best - there are many fabric dyes in the craft stores that could work.

I just realized you are in Europe and may not have Oxyclean, but I googled and found some topics with some different options:

I have a pair of the green Faryl Robin shoes. I got them on eBay awhile back for $12.99! They had been worn in a fashion show and then listed on eBay so they were just about brand new.

I've never worn them though. I don't have anything that matches them. What kind of color combos would you wear with them?

Conservatively, colors similar to those in the shoe or neutrals. I think navy would be cute!

I think Oxyclean is a lot like Vanish, which I already tried. But there are some good tips on those sites. I think these shoes are ruined, but next time I will have to spray them before use and try washing them the way they recommend. But really, white linen shoes are a pain...

You could try dying them, i had a pair of canvas summerettes from the 50's that were cream, they were stained from age, i used rit liquid dye, and now they are a cherry red and look fabulous !
