I got these today.

I would have loved them in red but unfortunately they were out of stock so I settled for black. I don't know if they're vintage style but I saw the embroidery and knew I had to have them!

I also got these a couple of months ago for in the summer.

'River's ' Online again. They quite often have some lovely vintage-y shoes and they are a wider fit and come in larger sizing

has anyone got shoes from re-mix? What's your experience, are they worth the pennies?

I am seriously contemplating taking the plunge on these... I've wanted them for ages, and suddenly have some spare pennies. But, I feel slightly guilty spending so much on a pair of shoes! So if anyone can tell me it's worth it and still my feelings of guilt, that would be great :D

I have on pair of remix sandals and they are fab. Worth every penny.

Never feel guilty about buying shoes!!

I feel more guilty about buying dresses as i think great shoes and accessories are always a good wardrobe investment if you buy well. My mum always said to never skimp on buying a few great pairs of shoes, people always notice your shoes and an indifferent outfit will always be benefited by good shoes! I stick to that theory myself - one of the bits of advice she gave me i have chosen to take notice of over the years!

I made a show of eating tinned food for a week after i bought mine to pretend to assuage the guilt!

LinaSofia, I think they're worth the money. They're generally made in Portugal, Spain, Mexico... never China. I've found the leather to be quality and sturdy. I tend to buy mostly the 1920's/1930's pumps and I have several pairs of the 1940's wedges (lest you think I'm swimming in cash, I had a bit of a buying streak a couple of years back when Amazon was selling Re-mix styles for about $69! :eeek: ). Splurge and be happy! And take very good care them so they will last you your money's worth! ;)

I have two pair of ReMIx wedges that I really like. I found them on sale at Amazon a few seasons back. They fit me well, and are comfortable to dance in. I'm not familiar with the style you are showing, but I like it. A bit high heeled for me though.
Lily Powers, I bought mine around the same time, from Amazon, about $69. More recently I found three pair
(Gilda, Picasso, and a 40's laceup wedge) at a local salvage store. None of them were my size. This store buys at auction and all of the boxes had Amazon labels. They must have been returned. I paid $25-$35 each and sold them on eBay!
I keep going back to the same store to look for more but have not found any since.
