These shoes are about $100, which is too much for me, but they are still great

Oooooh those too! They are actually exactly the same as the Remix ones, which are $240!

Whoa! That's just kinda spooky! They have to be the same shoes--with the exception that Remix does some antiquing on the hand tooling.

I'm going to buy a pair today!

I saw these "leather look" bronze shoes at Newport News. Still, they'd be cute with a vintage formal or the right suit and the price is right (under $30 if memory serves).

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Kohl's has some pretty cute vintage inspired shoes from time to time. I wanted to make a note of this for others, because I went yesterday, and got a very adorable pair of 1920's style T-straps for under $40. I couldn't find them listed for sale on Kohls' site, but oddly enough I found a picture of the style I got on the front page for the shoes section.

on the left, I got them in black, the brand is Mudd

To others, I would also recommend Croft & Barrow, I always rely on that brand for sensible, comfortable, durable flats. I hope the Kohls suggestion can be of use for some people. :)

DO they have the taps on them?

I'va always wanted a pair of dance shoes like this! Except my ultimate would be more of a babydoll pump type heel, but the same height as these.

Did you get them for dancing or regular wear? I'd be interested to know how they work out for dancing!

Nope, no taps. A few character shoes come with them, but most shoes do not so you can dance without them (the difference between a character shoe and a tap shoe.) Also, most tappers like to customize their tap shoes (there's a lot of different types of taps)

I got them to wear on stage, but since they have a leather sole (alot of dance shoes have suede) I could very well wear them out with the right outfit!

These would be good for folk type dancing or clogging- they've got a really substantial heel though they're fairly lightweight. Not quite as flexible as I would like for the type of dancing I do, but would probably work for swing dancing. My 2 inch T-straps http://site.mawebcenters.com/backbaydancewear/catalog_i846073.html?catId=36525 and my 1.5 latin peep-toes http://site.mawebcenters.com/backbaydancewear/catalog_i846262.html?catId=36549are my preferred shoes for dancing when I'm wearing a heel.

Here's a site that has some really interesting variations on dance shoes:

These are my favorite for dancing. I keep them in the car! They look quite vintage I think, and the designer is a local Maine gal, so I buy shoes from her when she has her studio sale.

I have these in black and red. I have them in the 3" heel but they do come n 2"

I bought these this past Christmas. So pretty and just as comfortable as the others for dancing.

My mum bought me some very cute vintage-inspired ankle strap shoes in black patent leather from Matalan - £12.

They have got 4 1/2" heels though ;)

Oh man...I'm dying looking at all of these shoes.. If I could afford it. I'd be Imelda Marcos...lol

Thanks for the info Roselily! I saw the taps on the picture, so I wasn't sure.. gosh they are sure cute!! and that TicTacToes site had some great shoes in there!

Crwritt: oh my those are gorgeous! I especially liked the second link with those cut-outs!!! another to add to my Christmas wish list!

and to add, today I was at the outlet stores, and one of the shoe stores had aerosoles...soooooooo comfy and a good solid heel...but oh mama, they didn't have them in red, because if they did, I would have bought them!!!

Just saw these flats on the Payless website and thought they were pretty cute - available in black, brown, navy and red!
