This is the "Liz" dress I had made. I was having a bad face/hair day so they got chopped. Please also excuse my dog's toys in the corner!

Hope that's helpful.

I have noticed she has some blouses as well,
Has anyone had a blouse made by toprunway ?
I can't sew for nuts so all you talented seamstresses ~ do you think the fabric she uses would work for a blouse ??
Or should i ask for a rayon or cotton ?

I ordered the 40's pattern blouse. I asked her which fabric she thought would work best and she recommended the H.
It's a pretty thick fabric with little stretch. I really like it actually, since I'm going to wear it during the winter. Too heavy for summer though.
Let us know if she offers other fabrics. I'd love some rayon dresses.

Helpful? You are amazing :eusa_clap !!! Thank you so much.

Also, I think I have to get the Liz dress, too. We seem to have the same body type (small torso, round hips) and the dress looks stunning! <3

Lola Valentine, that's tremendously helpful! You can see the texture of the fabrics much better than on the pictures TopRunway has. Is your dress the purple on the first or on the fifth picture? It's really lovely.

Has anyone ever had a tattered old dress deconstructed, turned into a pattern, and then made into a new dress? I have a few, but I am inept at sewing. Do you think Toprunway would do this for me? Suggestions...?

Weird... that is exactly the question I came on here to ask.
I have a beautiful navy blue dress for the mid-40's, and it fits me perfectly. Unfortunately, it has a sizable hole in the fabric. (not a seam rip) I was considering having someone turn it into a pattern so a new one can be made, but I'm really nervous about it. I know it's silly because I can't wear it anyway, but still...
I'd like to hear some success stories (or dire warnings, as the case may be) about this before I proceed.
Thanks!

Thank you MBH!! It is a seperate suit with a skirt and the dress is by itself.. I absolutely love both! The suit is lined so it feels so warm and snuggly, the dress is unlined, but the fabric is supersoft with a little bit of stretch, wo it fits perfectly!

It is the SPECIAL dress and GRACE suit.
