Curious kinds of clothes?

Actual, german mass-market offers longsleeved Poloshirts. Surely, because of atumn.

But, I mean, what's the point with that?

On spring, atumn, winter, the people here wear scarves, turteneck-pullovers or both combined, if going out on cold, windy weather. Or wearing pullovers or turtleneck-pullovers in their flats, too, or heated up their flats and wearing T-Shirts, mostly.

And the next point:
If buying Poloshirts, I think, the most people, who like them much, especially, because of the nice breathable "Piqué"-cotton, they want Piqué-ones.
But, the most actual offered longsleeved Polos aren't made of Piqué! The seem to be normal Jersey-cotton.

But René Lacoste "invented" the modern Poloshirt, because of the short sleeves and breathability. So, if I like to wear a Poloshirt in my heated living room, then its the classic short.

What's your favorite "curiousity"?

Long-sleeved "polo" shirt made with densely-woven cotton sounds like the description of a "rugby jersey".

They re much closer that.... makes me wonder why folks don't just go for a rugby shirt rather than a long-sleeve polo. Long sleeves do make a lot of sense if you're exposed to very hot conditions, of course, but then why deviate from the pique material?

I've always been slightly bemused by the canvas Chuck-Taylor type gutties with the furry lining for Winter. A light canvas shoe makes sense in a Summer context, but why try and turn it into a Winter garment? I suppose this is where fashion trumps practicality for a lot of folks.

Aaah, I forgot! This funny thing:

The, since months, here offered flatcaps with earflaps for cold autumn and winter-time!!

I mean, they got the earflaps, but no flap for my forehead. So, whats the point with these?? If autumn gets windy and german-cooold and winter comes, I wear a normal, nice totally warming winter-toque, logical!

And if it's no cold, but warm autumn, like now, my classic flatcaps, without earflaps, are absolutely sufficient.

So, no one really needs the earflap-ones, I think. AND, the offered earflap-flatcaps here in Germany got, in compare to the classic ones, a really inconvinient fitting, I've seen and felt it!
And I got a well made "Sympatex"-flatcap, but it's fitting is very inconvinient, for real! Bulky and stiff!

Today, on a walkaround, I think:
What about self-trying to remove these senseless ear-flaps?? The cap costed just 50 Euro an if the removing will be succesful, probably, I could get a perfectly fitting flatcap. And these senseless ear-flaps, I will never need them, logical. And then, without the flaps, it will also be a real size 59cm.

I started cutting the seam at the marked endings and then, woohoo, removing was easily done in a minute. You can't go wrong!

And now, for real, I got an absolutely correct size 59cm and the cap fits extremely well and I think, now it will be one of my favorite flatcaps. Great one!

PS: Now, I think, I will further be looking after flatcaps, but really buy some nice new ones, if available, and then just removing the senseless ear-flaps!
