Cufflinks and shirt studs

As some of you know I'm getting married next year and trying to get some/all of the "little details" just to my liking. Maybe not perfectly following "the rules" but the way I want them. Or, more importantly the way my bride wants them.

Our wedding colours are purple and gold, as purple is her favorite color, and I just didn't think silver and purple sounded right together.

Does anyone know where to get decent quality, but affordable shirt studs and cufflinks? I found some through a google search

but I'm concerned they're "costume" quality. Does anyone have experience with those directly, or with something else that's good?

IMO, the bottom set is the least offensive. I've seen some lovely amethyst formal sets but they've all been with white gold/platinum. Personally, I would advise the bride to have the groom play it straight, sartorially speaking, as any special adornment placed on him will take eyes off her. That's what I'd tell her but really I think it's a little too much when the groom is dragged into the wedding theme. But in the end, it is her day and if she wants to get matchy-matchy....[huh]

BTW, a short search found this set ; in keeping with the theme but in an understated manner.

Given that the ones OP posted are about 1/10 the price of your suggestion, I would assume those are outside of his intended price range.
I'm going to agree, the bottom set is the least costumey IMO. Any chance of a rethink on silver? Purple and silver actually go quite nicely together.

You may be right; decent quality, but affordable is such a vague term but I figured I'd give it a shot. In the world of formal sets they're still entry level.

Yes, I'm working with <$100, and more in the $20-30 range for what I'm asking my groomsmen to buy.

However, there has been a change of plans now, we will be going white collar, limiting purple and gold to the cufflinks and button studs.
