My daughter also had this little lot passed down to her from her maternal great-grandfathers, to be disposed of for her benefit. I have kept (for a consideration!) the abalone shell and small damascene cufflinks with the bird design. The other damascene cufflinks are very nice (I particularly like the fact that they have decorated the rear bars too) but a little large for my taste. The regimental cufflinks are Central Band of the Royal Air Force - one of her great grandfathers was in the. Salvation Army and was a talented musician and teacher, these would presumably have been a gift to him from one of his musical friends.

Here's a set of 9ct gold on silver with a tie clip found on a local flea market for a fiver, they were a bit tarnished but I think unworn, a quick rub over with a jewellers cloth and hey presto!

Cheers dh66 I thought so too, the box was grubby but came up with Mr Sheen easily and the velvet liner just needed a quick press over with some masking tape to remove the very light soiling ....the links and clip came up very easily after I first scrubbed them with a soft toothbrush and cheap white toothpaste as this gets into all the nooks and crannies making it far easier for the jewellers cloth to do it's work.

Ebay purchase, more than I'd usually pay ( but not too much) I just had to have them!;

Marconi purchased Eddystone Radio in 1965, prior to this they were owned by Laughtons, a family business these made goods such as compacts, hair grips and also the range of Twinco plastic ware. It appears that at some stage in Eddystone’s history it was decided to make a set of Eddystone cuff-links and possibly a tie-pin set? these may have been given out at sales promotion items to valued customers, either way they are a lovely set of cufflinks.
