I've been on the hunt for a used one of these in size 46 since I tried it on at Standard & Strange in 2018. I like the elastic in the back.

It really is a great jacket, a fave in my collection - failed zip notwithstanding. Mine was a bargain from they bay but I would maybe even consider buying new

Must be the way the weight is distributed on that jacket.

Vanson have excellent patterns - in terms of riding in it, range of motion, etc. - as far as I heard.

Yeah definitely, as far as ease of movement this pattern is very well thought-out.
The CW brown cowhide leather was very supple from out of the box too regardless of its hefty weight, which makes it a very practical jacket.
I recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a bit more minimalistic version of a cross zip and Thurston has quite a few new leather options that work really well with this model.

Montgomery Ward. I like the mouton collar on this one, the length is nearly too short but it doesn't bother me, and if it did I couldn't wear any of the older cross zips. The belt buckle isn't great, it's like it's made of tin, but otherwise I like this jacket.

It is a Butwin which I assume is steerhide from the early 60s.

New Cross Zip in the Nation. Just came in. Impressive. My thanks to @JMax for posting this jacket. It fits too! Short, but Sweet. I'll do more on this guy.

Looks like my Montgomery Wards.

All the same pockets, back panels, side zips. Yours is missing the belt? Mine is only 22 in back! But a 42 everywhere else. I'd wear it a lot more if it had at least 2 more inches.

Took my first foray into crosszip nation—quarantine has me spending too much time on eBay! Never been sure if I could pull off the style, but this one seemed like a good one to try as it’s not too motorcycle-y with only handwarmer pockets and no belt, just side laces. And it was cheap!

The zip out liner is missing and I have no idea who the maker might be but the leather is pretty thick steerhide (the jacket weighs 6 lbs), has a biswing back, and the main zip is a #10 YYK. If anyone has any guesses as to the maker speak up!
