California Sportswear Co. late 30s Goatskin Aviator. Recently re-issued by Dave Sheeley. Check out the zip Sleeves and the curvaceous zip front. Dave was quite proud to have duplicated the sweeping zipper in his jacket.

Just shoot him an email to discuss a build. After determining the particulars he'll give you a price, if you accept then a $300 down payment gets you in line (as of last year). He's got a few eBay items which are examples of potential builds. One area where I feel he stands out is attention to historical detail (especially Monarch), for instance he does French seams throughout on his jackets just like Monarch, and all his machinery like button holer and sewing machines are vintage. I ordered a button front half belt last May, I'm excited for sure.

This really is a beast!
IS it me or is it still gaining more grain as you wear it? Doesn't feel like it was that grainy when you first got it...

I was actually wondering the same but if it IS gaining more grain, the jacket decided to do it by itself. Been too warm lately to wear it but something's going on with it. That's what I meant earlier about it having magical properties. Any way you crease the leather, it comes out different.
