Cowboy Boots

We visited a thrift store yesterday. I heard they had some boots. A few nice ones, not in my size, but I did find one pair that fit, so I brought them home. They are Justins, I have no idea what year.

Good get D-Dog! Contact Justin through their website. They were helpful in dating a pair for me.

Damn, Ddog I'm not much of a snake fan but those look good and nearly new. Good color. I have a hard time with putting a date on Justins. The last pair I owned was a pair of mule hides in the 70's-80's. Was away from home for awhile and my mom threw them away. Loved those boots. Still hurts.

Just going by the profile, the nice heel and the elaborate stitching, I would think no later than the 80's. Maybe others will weigh in.
Thank you BB, the last Justin boots I had was in the 70s. They were nice chocolate with lizard tips. I am always glad to get your opinion on boots, since you have so many exceptional examples.

Nowadays I'm not a fan of snake or 4-piece vamps but I do like the color, & they look to be in great shape. Can't see much of the ink stamps but I'm betting late 1980's.

Looking around I spotted these & the stitch pattern looks familiar but I can't place them.

The color was the only reason I bought them, I already have two other pair of snake, and didn't need another. I don't remember the make on the ones you circled.

Great looking! Never owned any Caboots. What do you think?
They seem to be pretty well made. I find no lemonwood pegs, just two rows of nails. The leather is nice and they are comfortable. I like the heels. Can probably give a better review after wearing them for a while. I've never owned tops this high.

I'm sure the pegs are brass. Not uncommon. A lot of bootmakers prefer them. I like a high top. Good snake boots out there in the desert.
