Cowboy Boots

Steady on mate, it might be a few years to reach that point :D

Those are seriously beautiful but I'll have to ease myself into the deep end of the pool bit by bit. I'm just a lowly beginner with this cowboy boot thing!

You'd be the wildest cat in all Norway, Smithy.

But you'd better take care of that busted up ankle first.

One thing I hate is to take a flight with cowboy boots. The security makes me remove them to pass them in the x-ray machine. :(

I have been to ElPaso exactly once; I detoured to visit boot makers on my way to Santa Fe. Besides getting broadsided in a rental between Rocketbuster and Stallion, I got lost and was dangerously late to catch my departing flight the next morning. I had on a pair of JB Hills I bought from a store online. I got to security and thankfully, there was no line, but I did have to deal with my boots. Just as soon as I stated yanking, the TSA lady strolls over with a BOOT JACk and says "Here, you gotta hurry!"

I roared and said "Only in El Paso" She winked I breezed through and made my plane, (even a bit late). Since then, I have told that story to counter any TSA harassment tales, but it is true and I still thank her.

Oh, and I ordered my first custom pair of JB Hills and was later measured for them by Diana, (Dr. JB's assistant)i in the ABQ airport (or sky park or whatever they call that grotesque thing) as she was passing through there a couple of days later. Great service and even better fit. Here they are. Their model name, la Pluma, translates to "the feather."

Such would be common in many parts of Texas...El Paso, Austin, Midland, Lubbock...

the ABQ airport (or sky park or whatever they call that grotesque thing)

Nice hat and nice boots.
A boot jack would be something extraordinary to see on a European airport...

Joao, I just noticed your signature line about looking for wide-brimmed westerns. What size are you? I have a bone Butch Dorer that though magnificent, I just can't get used to because of its wider brim. I wear a 7 3/8 but this thing is really more a 7 1/2.

7 1/4 - 7 3/8.
I could pad it to wear. I have one 7 1/2 (60) that I wear a lot.
Your hat looks really nice.

Thanks. Not sure why you couldn't view the other pics. I pulled it back up and they were viewable to me.
Could be my phone. Sometimes if I don't have a strong signal it doesn't like pictures. I'll try the desktop when I get home.

Hope you see (and show off) plenty while you're here.

A Butch Dorer, very nice! May I ask which of his selections you have/had? I saw where he made a hat for a "Dallas" cast member. From what I have been able to see Dorer has some great quality craftsmanship.

I don't see photos on the first posting either & on a laptop running Chrome. [huh]

I see the 3 pictures...

Tip Top never replied to me so the hat must be with him.

Those are some seriously classy looking boots, Bamaboots! The stitching and contrast piping and pulls are top shelf.
