These boots are special!!
Thank you kindly BFB.
And you are correct.
The seller had NO idea what they had, not even a maker’s name. But, our steely eyed @Bamaboots noticed the style and stitching as a Paul Bond and so kindly notified me. Me being a total neophyte at serious boots snapped them up and upon arrival found an unworn virgin pair of 77 Paul Bonds!
Special is right and so is the story.
Thanks Greg.

Howdy,

I thought I’d share this pair I have been breaking in for a few months now. They are Legendary, and my second pair from Bob.

My "Christmas" boots arrived. I learned that they were made by Cody, Wyoming bootmaker Tom Farnworth. More burgundy than red ... I really, really like them. Unfortunately they are a size too small. I'm so bummed. :(

Found another pair out there by the same maker ("Country Cobbler") that sold at auction a while back:

Good looking boots, Bob. Great colors. I like the contrast of the green piping. Are they ostrich? Sorry to hear they're too small. The other pair you found are really cool looking, too

I think they're ostrich Dale, but I'll have to look closer. Didn't have much time after leaving the "farm" at 5:00 am, arriving in the city (where the boots were waiting) and making it to the office.

Looks like I'll have a pile of five pairs of boots to trade next time I go to Santa Fe.

Greetings All:
Continuing on with some pointy toes.
Scooted around today in the Rios of Mercedes Rays. This is some tough hide! So tough Willow had to help Pop Pops get em off cause it’s “hard work”.
I always forget how much i like these...till i put them on.
Be well. Bowen

Still the best looking pair of stingrays I've ever seen...

Also picked up these Justin's. I really liked the variegated stitching on the tops, but theyre a little snug so they might not get much use.

Nice pickups on both pair, Cuz. Those Lucchese's will dress up nice. Those Justin's are something. That old ass pair of white label's and my old TL's are one of the few pairs still around I've seen with variegated stitching. Very cool.

Thanks, Cuz. The Luccheses are from the low end line, but theyre super comfortable. I imagine theyre going to see a lot of action. As for the Justins, I've long admired your TLs and these looked to be similar in age, and the price was way right, so I grabbed them. They'll work with some real thin socks if I'm going to be doing something that involves a lot of sitting down.
