I used Burda patterns before I ever used any other ones and I would never have traced them with a wheel. If you can find ver thin tracing paper or even clear foil tracing with a marker is no problem.
Sometimes it helps to lightly tape it all to a window in broad daylight.

Bumping this to let people know that dick blick is a good source for tracing paper. I got a 50yd roll of three foot wide paper, that is thin enough to lay on top of the pattern pieces and trace, but sturdy enough to hold up for quite a while. it was around $20

I know this post is over a decade old, but it just popped into my head today and I'm not sure why I was singled out for such a lecture about my then "busy" life? I don't sew much anymore, though. But I have quite a collection!!!
