For forummers in the UK: I'm selling my Cooper goatskin G1.
This is an original G1 which has been issued to a US Navy flyer, the label bears the name Estes and service number 4339 and it has stitching where two breast insignia have been removed. This is a D-series G1 jacket, made in 1996 in the USA by Cooper Sportswear. Colour is a dark shade of seal brown with original dark brown knits and original brown nylon satin lining.
Unlike the steerhide G1s of the 1970s, the jacket is light and very comfortable to wear.
Size is 44 regular, and it would fit a person height about 5'9" to 6 ft, weight about 75 - 88 kg [165 to 195 lbs].
The dark brown leather is strong and in lovely, soft buttery condition with excellent fine pebbly goatskin grain. No rips or tears and minimal amount of scuffing.
The original waist knit and original "Ideal USA" zipper are all in very good/excellent condition. The acrylic "mouton" collar is excellent, as is the storm fastening flap at the neck.
The cuff knits are no longer in good condition - they have been repaired [see photo] and could need to be further darned or replaced in a few years.
The front storm flap behind the zipper has been removed.
The nylon liner is in excellent condition, as is the internal wallet pocket, external front button pockets and pen pocket .
The measurements are:
Back: from seam of collar straight down to the end of the leather 22 ½" and to end of knit 25 ½"
Yoke: across the back at to the sleeve seams 21" [note it has the G1 action flaps so can expand]
Armpit to armpit across the front: 23 ½" [note it has the G1 action flaps so can expand]
Sleeve: from top seam down outer part of sleeve to end of leather 22 ½ " and to end of knit 25 ½"
Front: down zipper flap 22"
