Contrast stitching thoughts

I’ve always Gone for Green OD stitching on all my jackets and have liked it.

This time I’m contemplating an Aero dustbowl in a dark Seal or blackened brown and I’m thinking about a more stark contrast, with a cream colored stitching. The dustbowl has lots of seams on which it is sure to stand out. Has anybody gone that route? Any photos to post? Any regrets?

Very subjective topic, but I agree. I have OD thread on Tatanka Brown HH, which I really like, dark tan on Auburn Brown HH; I’m about to receive tobacco Brown thread on mid brown goatskin.
Personally, I prefer subtle, complementary thread colours rather than stark contrast.

I love the subtle contrast OD offers black, brown and Cordo shades. The white on black or brown seems harsh to my eye. One exception tho, I love white or cream stitching against Navy blue or royal blue.

I think it tends to look tacky when there's too much contrast. It's a signature of the 1970s. Subtle is better, but that's just my opinion. Also, lighter thread will show dirt.
I’m not a big fan of contrasting stitching either.
Last year I received a black LW Test with subtle greyish stitching I’ve never asked for (to be fair I did not specifically ask for black stitching per se either). My black LW Suburban has black stitching. Thus it never occurred to me that I had to specify the color of the stitching for my LW black Test (remember I'm not talking about Aero or Himel but LW). At first, I didn’t like it. But after a while, I have come to appreciate it. It gives the jacket a special touch, makes it a one of a kind jacket that no one else will have! I also have a green Suburban with contrast OD stitch which works quite well (but this came standard). Furthermore, Stuart put a dark brown cotton duck lining on my black Test (I’ve specifically asked for a black one), which I didn’t like at the time, and still don't like. But it is not a big issue since it does not show much. But I guess contrasting lining is another topic altogether.

I think cream thread on a dark seal dustbowl would look very Country Western. There are a lot of seams, so it might look like a stage jacket.
That's true, but I would never criticise anyone's choice. I saw a cafe racer in a mid-brown colour, with cream stitching. It reminded me of a car's leather seats with cream piping.

Always love seeing it :)
@Logician Can you take some close up pictures?
My digital camera is broken. I'm shopping for another one since it can't be repaired. I will definitely post some close-up pics, but it might take a few weeks. BTW just can't understand the fascination of some FL members with my LW green Suburban. Anyways, if anyone wants to make a trade, I would seriously consider a black Himel Canuck 42R. I believe Superfluous has one for sale. PM me if interested.
