Considering hennaing my hair red...yes or no???? plz help!

hay gals! I have all of a sudden gotten an urge to henna my hair a redder color, but I am having some worries... okay so I used to color the life out of my hair in my early teenage years....I mean I literally processed my hair to death... I eventually just cut it off into a pixi cut and vowed never to color it again lol now my hair is 100% virgin hair untouched by and chemical not even shampoo lol and I have enjoyed the freedom of not having to deal with those pesky roots! my hair grows like a darn weed, so roots for me were always a pain! but I cant help but be drawn to red hair! haha my hair has a red shine in it naturally and I just wish it was brighter haha. all of my silver screen idols had red hair, as does my lovely grandmother but I cant decide weather or not I want to henna it or not lol because I do love my natural hair color.. but a change would be nice but I am worried once I do it ill miss my natural hair color or not want to deal with having to re-henna every so often lol so advice would be beyond amazing! Love you gals! <3

I love my henna, but it certainly is a commitment. Why don't you use temporary dye (the stuff that washes out with a couple of shampoos) for a few weeks first? That way you see if you start to miss your natural colour or not.

I look at the time I take to perform upkeep on myself as me-time. Don't look at touching your roots up as a chore. Look at it as I am just performing the required upkeep to maintain my sexiness. I'm sure that you like many of us give up 8 hours of your day to help your boss grow and maintain his or her wealth, so what's the big deal about devoting your time to hair dying, nail painting, waxing, hair treatments, beauty masques and all the other things women do? It's all about the state of mind.

I wouldn't know any natural temporary dyes, but the plain drugstore stuff is pretty good. As long as you don't have to mix anything before you apply (in which case it would be semi permanent or permanent dye, both of which damage the hair more or less) it won't cause any harm and will wash out. Unless yor hair is very light (blonde, white, especially bleached) or you go for a very drastic change that is, but none of that seems to be the case.

If you use natural products only I can't help I'm afraid.
