My interest in the Golden Era includes paper ephemera, packaging, postcards, train and hotel brochures, all of that, but also (and you only have to look at my avatar) pulps and newspaper comic strips. I'm guessing I'm not the only one around here who feels that way. I'm also guessing, given the popularity around here of a certain crusading archaeologist, that the most popular type of strips (and pulps) would be adventure.

There are also Tarzan, Prince Valiant, Dick Tracy, Lil' Orphan Annie and dozens more. And I'm not even touching the "funnies" yet, Krazy Kat or Popeye or the Katzenjamer Kids or Gasoline Alley... You get the picture.
