Hello everyone!! For a man my favourite perfume is "Habit Rouge" by Guerlain, and my favourite perfume (I can't change) is L'Heure Bleue by Guerlain. As you can see Guerlain is the best for me!!

I know it's been out for a couple of years, but I am always amazed at the incredible comments I get from Men and Women when I'm wearing Truth by Calvin Klein. It's almost embarassing.[huh]
Oh yes, I have smelled that and it is DEFINITELY a good one!!!:D

My favorite perfume: Maroc ... is sadly out of commission. I can only find it on ebay, anywhere from $40 to $400.

I am always looking underground for a bottle.

My Favorite Colognes...

Spark by Liz Claiborne (discontinued but easily found.)
Chanel pour Monsieur Concentree
Lauder for Men by Estee Lauder
Burberry London (had a gal bite me on the neck when I was downtown one night when I wore this one...and she was sober!)

Those are my favorites and the ones that get the compliments, or in some cases bitemarks, from the ladies.

Cologne: Black for Men by Karen Low.

My wife picked this up for me. I have not been able to find another bottle of it since.

hm. If that's Pure Instinct Black for Men by Karen Low that you seek -- a little bird just told me that you might be able to Buy-It-Now?! :)

I just ordered some Terre D'Hermes, after deciding to retire what I had been using for far too long. It was down to that or Burberry London.

Funny, I just bought some Hermes D'Orange Vert cologne. I also like the Burberry London but that something about that Hermes I couldn't pass up.

I like the men's products from Floris, though No 89 smells too soapy on me. I prefer the JF.

Creed Irish Tweed and Acqua Di Parma are also favorites but they put a bit too much of a pinch in the old bank account. I don't trust buying them on Ebay. At least you can find Hermes at a good discount online.

I seriously considered some Creed, but at those prices, it's tough to justify, since there are other pretty classy choices around. (Although I am wondering if some of the factories ever worry about break-ins. Imagine the retail value of sneaking in and filling up a five-gallon bucket with the stuff). I don't think I'd buy something like that from eBay, either.

But I thought the Hermes would be good to try for a while. I also figured it would be less common, at least in my region.

My grandma wore Shalimar, and whenever I smell it I am taken back to her giving me a big bear hug. I love scent/memory connections. :)

My grandmother wore Shalimar as well! I never knew it until far after her death. I found out one day when I was looking at a little bottle my mom had and when I opened it, it smelled like my grandma. We called it "Grandma in a Bottle", and would smell it occasionally. I was 15. After that my mom bought me some for Christmas. Of course it is far too womanly for a 15 year old to wear!lol Then after meeting my husband's grandparents, I went to give my new grandmother a hug, and she smelled like "Grandma" too! Sure enough she had Shalimar in her bathroom. :D It made me so happy. I have vowed that when I become a grandma I too will wear Shalimar like my grandmothers before me!

Exotic!

I have a few favorites, all very different. My first love was Fire by Jovan; it's scent is described as Cedar Wood (and that's really about it). I wasn't really sure what it was, but now it makes sense. It's warm and inviting and my boyfriend loves it. I can't find it anywhere now, though...I only have about 2 teaspoons left. :(
My second love was Crypt by The Gothic Rosary. It was my signature scent for a few years and my boyfriend's all time favorite. I still love this and really should order another bottle. The description: "Surrounded, Haunting. The Smell of Moss Clingingto a Marble Mausoleum" It's actually rather light and fruity, with a little dewy moss thrown in.
My most recent love is Estee Lauder's Pleasures Exotic. It's so tropical and unusual. It certianly doesn't smell quite right on everyone -- it smells just musty on my friend. On me, it's warm and fruity with the passion fruit, sandalwood, and bougainvillea especially standing out. The description: "Top Notes: Mango Passion Fruit Cocktail, dewy Green Leaves, juicy Pink Grapefruit, Orange and Lemongrass.
Middle Notes: Island Bamboo Flowers. Hibiscus Flowers, Orangeblossom, Lychee, Cassis, Bougainvillea Vine, Peony, Green Leaves, Rose Petals, Baie Rose. Dry Down: Indian Sandalwood, Amber,Violet Woods."

Also, when I went to Eze in France, I visited Fragonard where they make perfumes and give tours. They have wonderful scents, all last so long (even just the eau de cologne). Highly recommended! They do have a website:
http://www.fragonard.com/
I especially recommend this small collection of 10:

Sorry that was so long!
