Colimbo leather Stockman's Coat

Thanks to this thread, I ended up getting a Colimbo jacket. Very excited to receive it.

That reminds me quite a bit of the Rainbow Country Single Rider in Red Brown. I had one and it was a beautiful jacket. Great pickup!

Thanks! I was told by the seller (Kanemakijisai) that Rainbow Country made Colimbo's jackets, so it's quite possible that they are essentially the same jacket.

Cool jacket and I love the colour. Takashi at Kanemakijisai is a nice fella and I like dealing with him. I was after a Rainbow Country jacket so he brought in the one you bought just for the heck of it, in case I was interested. I have a Thedi pretty much exactly like it but in dark brown so I passed but I am glad a member here grabbed it.

That is a California Mfg so Rainbow Country. I really like Colimbo and rainbow Country stuff. Not as on the radar as Freewheelers or Real McCoy's ect so a bit cheaper and not so in demand.

Ah—so it’s not Colimbo at all? That’s what it was listed as on his site, but good to know at any rate. Happy to be getting a Rainbow Country jacket! And thanks for your part in getting it to me!

Technically I think it is a Rainbow Country. I have never seen a Colimbo with that California Mfg label.

Either way, you can't go wrong since it is a really nice jacket.

I’ve always liked the Colimbo Stockman, but one nit that would bother me if I had one is the neck. The lining goes too far up into the neck. I would prefer the liner lower with a leather-only neck.
