Clothing stores of the Golden Era

I just posted a comment about a very nice but stunningly overpriced Stratoliner over on the Hats forum, and mentioned that the name of the store was interesting, because it was near the short lived haberdashery that Harry Truman ran soon after his discharge from the army in 1921.
That reminded me that I'm always intrigued by the store labels found on many vintage clothes. Stores still put their own labels on brand name garments.
There's no thread on the subject that I'm aware of. Does anyone else out there find the names of the old, mostly defunct, clothing stores fascinating?
For example, I have an old tie with the label from Kleinhan's sewn in. Kleinhan's was THE department store, and mens clothuing store, in Buffalo back when Buffalo was a truly major US city.
Marc has given us a lot of history on Oviatt's the great store in LA. Any others out there?

Two come to mind:
1. Frankel's of Des Moines
2. Bond's of Beaverdale

Frankel's closed in the late 60's or early 70's, from what I'm told. Bond's closed sometime around 2006 or 2007, if I recall correctly; shortly before I joined the lounge. I purchased my first Biltmores, and in fact my first real fur felts, from Bond's during their closing sale. (Picked up each hat for about $25 a piece!)

Both stores existed during the golden era, Bond's being more of a neighborhood store and Frankel's being a downtown boutique.
