I have here an incredible jacket from High Notch, Izumiya’s rare in-house brand. This is an expert jacket repairman who started making his own jackets, similar to what Brass Tokyo did for shoes with Clinch. However, you don’t see them very often because they don’t seem to be produced continuously. It is exceedingly difficult to find real listings of them online. You can find out more about High Notch/Izumiya from this thread.

I am lucky enough to own another in black Shinki FQHH, and as the owner of an RMC jacket I would say the level of quality is comparable.

Some jackets just have that “it” factor. I feel that’s what Izumiya/High Notch capture with their single rider’s jackets. The cut is flattering, and the details are functional and just plain cool. The horsehide on this one is supple and flexes more easily than my thicker black one, and comes in a handsome, medium-dark shade of brown.

My favorite part, however, is probably the flannel lining. It’s so soft and cozy. The storm cuffs are just the icing on the cake. This is a jacket that punches so, so high above its weight. It really kills me to list it but sadly it doesn’t quite fit me.

I would say this jacket fits as a slim 38 or a TTS 36, though the suppleness of the leather makes for surprisingly good mobility even for a trim cut. The leather is also relatively lightweight, which helps.

Will post measurements with photos below.

$675 shipped within CONUS to take this gem home.

In addition, I am selling these black JK Superduty boots in size 9E. They have roughout below for abrasion resistance, and smooth leather above to reduce friction against the pant leg.

Make sure to consult JK’s sizing guide before purchasing, as they size a bit differently than the other PNW bootmakers. Probably best for 10D Brannock, but ymmv.

Beautiful, barely worn pair of Nick’s builderpros in walnut, size 9.5D. Fit is similar to JK boots above, but a touch more snug/stiff. Very clean construction imo, better than many seem to get with Nick’s. Double row stitchdown was very well executed. Some tasteful indigo transfer on the back. I hate to part with these but the fit just ain’t quite right.

$420 (nice) shipped within CONUS

nice stuff! that high notch is getting rare I don't think he's making jackets anymore just focusing on his repair business. JCSD had a nice black one he offered me that I wish I had tried.

I’m the lucky owner of that black one — it’s just as good as all the big dogs in my opinion, with clean construction and lots of personality. It’s what inspired me to seek out High Notch and I was able to snag this one I’ve listed. Haven’t been able to find any more unfortunately.

If I start going harder at the gym I’m worried it won’t fit anymore :/ but when that day comes y’all will have a chance at it!

High Notch jacket reduced to $550

Act now to get an extremely rare jacket from a highly talented maker in Japan. High Notch does not seem to be in active production and these pieces are very hard to find.
