I am the second owner of these. I bought them back in 2022 from a gentleman who bought them new, didn't get the sizing right, and tried them on indoors a few times. When they arrived to me it was clear they'd never been worn. I almost got the sizing right, enough that I wore them out for one night to the Village, including the subway ride from and back to Brooklyn. So... maybe three hours of outdoor, urban use? After that, I put them away, then life, I moved apartments, etc... finally time to cut these loose.

These should fit someone with a brannock size 10-10.5. I am realistically a 9.5, except for my weirdly long middle toes, which put me (technically) just into a 10. These had a hair too much toe-box length for me.

Sorry for any dust, these have been in storage a minute. Leather is supple and perfect. Those areas that look like tea-core are actually the reflection of the yellowish lights in the storage facility.

First $1,000 (and actual shipping) gets 'em. Also welcome Los Angeles-area face to face.

Cheers!

I've withdrawn all my sales temporarily, as I am out of the country until mid January...

That said, if someone is very into the boots (or any of my other sales) I'm sure I could rope a friend into stopping by the house, picking them up, and shipping them.

what would say the width is? Also the instep the most important fit factor with a slip on, would you say tight loose of average?
I have weird feet... Think like Spiderman in the comics. Narrow heel, wide forefoot, and my longest toe is my second toe, with the big toe and third toe being equal in length, so the effect is like that Spiderman diamond shape.

I am a 10 on the brannock scale, but were it not for my longer 2nd toe, I would be a 9.5. Due to my wider forefoot but narrow heel, I would say my foot is between a D and E width. Usually an E will have a bit too much heel slip, but it does feel better in the forefoot.

These boots are pretty comfy for me width wise. I'd say there is a tiny bit of heel slip with my narrow heels, and they are a bit snug in the instep with my wider forefoot, but nothing crazy. With the lovely Latigo leather, I am sure the width would have been perfectly fine after some break-in... But I knew the extra length wasn't going to change, so I never went on that journey with these.

My guess is these will work best for someone who has a size 10.5 to 11 foot, and is a true D width. That said, a bit wider or perhaps even a bit narrower would probably work. Latigo leather conforms very well after some wear. But nothing other than a re-sole will fix a boot that is a half to a full size too big or small. Well, some people can wear a half size larger with an insert. That's never been my jam, particularly with boots that cost this much.

May it fit the new owner well, if the buyer is on the forum can you let us know your size and if it fits. I’m 75% that it’s TTS standard sneaker sizing, if it was overdyed brown I would’ve took the chance. Congrats on the sale too Bender!

Hey thanks man @Bender , appreciate the feedback. Really glad I bet the size against it haha, as these fits me really well.

To answer your question @DogFacePonySoldier

My Brannock size is 10.5B which is on the narrow side and somewhat low volume foot, which is why these US 9.5 can fits me, my conclusion previously is I at least needs a US10 on these CN last. Surprisingly these fits me great, the instep is near perfect which doesn't give me any notifcible heel slip, and theres even some room for length wise for me to wiggle the toes. So I did a full size down pretty much from my Brannock size, I don't think if anyone with wider than B width can do the same (I can feel the width is just fits, if I have any wider foot it will be painful), so if you are just regular width you might want to do half size down.

Some my other shoe references:

Nike/Adidas athletics sneakers US10.5
Timberlands 10061M US10 (loose fit)
Visvim T.W.O Boots US10
Wesco Mr.Lou I tried on a US10D which I think the heel slip is crazy probably needs US9.5D as well, didn't own
Attractions Lot. 444 Horsehide US9.5 but I needs put in a 3mm Nicks insole to make it work, the last is too wide for me
Saint Laurent Wyatt Boot US10
Rios Of Mercedes US10 without insole

It appears from size comparison this would be much bigger. My TTS prediction just took a hit to 49%.

I am looking over my redwing foot scan. I think my main contention in engineers is my High instep/arch plus a narrow heel/ball my width is narrow sense of 9.5D.

The only clinch I tried on were the Gary lace ups in the CN last and 9.5 fit well. I think I can snug up a Cn in clinch.

Hopefully if clinch does make engineers again it won’t go the way of their jodhpur the new versions heel’s appears smaller compared to earlier models, like Miaru is fixing something not broken.

The Attractions A012 pioneer Engineers last 9.5 which I tried in store fit really well in the snug sense which felt like there was no heel slip, if it was only brown. Although Clinch is still the best for the “sleeker” engineers IMO.

Thanks for the reply/information, a good deal of different factors going on trying to get good sizing.
