Clinch Boots Overdyed Horsebutt: Conditioning Tips??

Hello!

I am the happy recent owner of a pair of second-hand Clinch Engineer boots in Black Overdyes Horsebutt.

I had just wanted to ask the community if anyone has conditioning tips for this particular leather.

I know that the Horsebutt which Clinch has been described as similar to Shell Cordovan. I have a pair of Shell Cordovan boots and am familiar with how they’re maintained, but I’m not sure if their Horsebutt requires different maintenance.

Leave them the hell alone for a few years, then hit them with bick 4.

It's like every leather. Apply conditioner to a small area that's normally hidden and see how it looks. I use Venetian on all my horse leathers including shell. I've used Saphir too but don't like how it shines the leather.

I second Bick 4. The horsebutt should be good for a while. When you see it starting to look a bit dry, bick four will condition well without darkening or changing the color, but you should have a while before you need to worry about that, judging from your pics. Your boots look like they are in great shape and nearly new.
