The issue looks really nice, gents--I saw it at work on Saturday and flipped through it on my lunch break. Got quite a few people interested in it, too! It's placed prominently on the front shelves, right next to GQ--doesn't happen often with non-mainstreamed titles.

I've been looking for the latest issue at the nearby Barnes and Noble. Nothing yet. Should it be on the shelves?

Yes. Please inquire with the person there in charge of magazines. If you guys will speak to those in the trenches of the stores, it will have an impact. They deal with a lot of magazines....but if you chat with them they will make more of an effort to make sure we get exposure. It really does make a difference. Thanks!

Have not been to B & N yet, but the local Borders which carried it before does NOT have it out if they are getting it?

Finally arrived...hooray!

So...anyone gonna' sign up for the $4995 Ralph Lauren Purple Label suit on page 53? How much do I have to add for pleated trousers, too, Ralph?

I saw that suit drooled over it a little bit and then thought, I bet Indy Magnoli can make me something close for a whole lot less.

I find myself wishing I had bought the issue at B&N when I had the chance cause I haven't gotten it in the mail yet. And I'm starting to twitch....

I still pay for my subscription to support the cause.

Yes I am an insider yet I'm not in the office (otherwise I'd toss one in my briefcase).

This issue has plenty on trench coats for those looking to fix their wardrobe for the fall and a nice piece on Bogart which I recommend yall read. I do believe the Mad Men cover should have had Ham in a suit or something emulating the era, though every issue is going to be different.

I just want to see the winter stories as that's the time of year I like best.

Anywho, it's on the shelves now and should be on more soon... for those who don't have a copy it's time to take a look.

On Hiatus. Really. Or Not.
Bought the last copy...

They must be selling like hotcakes in the Union Station B Dalton (B&N), I bought the LAST copy a couple of days ago to read again on the train home. Felt a LITTLE guilty since I also have a subscription, but not THAT guilty!!

Still nada!

I'm really hoping it arrives in today's mail--I'm going away for the long weekend and I'd like to peruse the new issue by the ocean.

MK, it is fantastic! We got ours in Dallas on Friday (10/5)

But, if I can say one thing and not get banned or shunned...there was a severe lack of ladies fall fashions.

I would never do either for honest and constructive feedback.

I missed the ladies touch too. Fear not though. We were chosing models for the next issue....and there will be a lady.

Another really enjoyable issue. Add my voice to those hoping for more info for the ladies, especially fashion (although I realize the magazine is primarily aimed at men).

Things I especially enjoyed about this issue included the Editor's Note, The Latest (I didn't know John Krasinski was going to be in a period movie--yay!), the fashion spread "Nothing to Prove" particularly the photos on pgs 59 and 60, the sidebars within the articles--Bogart, Trenchcoats and the Jon Hamm interview spring to mind and the article on fountain pens.

I thought the costume and photography style used for the Bombshell was rather jarring--not in keeping with the tone of the rest of the issue (although I love your choice of Juliet Landau and Paris1900 is a fabulous shop).

Overall though great beach reading! Can't wait for the next issue!
