I don't think I've ever seen that particular shape...I identify Ray Ban Wayfarers with the Tom Cruise character in Risky Business, more squared-off shape.

This is a drag...I finally gave up on contacts, and have to wear glasses every waking minute, so cool shades are out of the question for me.

Johnny Depp gets all the credit, there are people on here that have been wearing fedoras back when he was on 21 jump street and before...

nah I'm kidding I love Johnny D.

Those are great though. Though I like the clubmaster model better.

Must be an age gap, when I think of Wayfarers, I think of JFK and the Blues Brothers! What a contrast in Hip!

I saw these in store, me and my friend were shocked to see these nice frames hanging on the wall! Or at least I was! Then again I love the wayfarer frames and these are pretty similar, so I'll try to get my hands on a pair of these if they come in an exceedingly large frame size. :)

If they don't - Shunron does. That's why I bought them. And the price was nice too.;)

Hey, Spitfire!
Those Shuron specs look great, I'll get a pair from them if Rayban doesn't have a decent sized frame.

And yeah, I'm positive Depp wears Moscots.
I have a couple pairs of them, they are fantastic frames, very high quality, I love them.

I'm confused by this post, (the 1952 original Wayfarer) "they're back in all sorts of frames" ?? What do you mean exactly... perhaps you mean this frame in various sizes maybe? Or is there multiple frame shapes for the wayfarer of 1952? A link may help too. I do like the look of them though, thanks.

The ones in my picture are prescibed sunglasses.
I found the Shuron frames so cheap - compared to danish prices that is - so I bought two pairs.
The expensive thing were the glasses - but I had one pair as sunglasses and the other as ordinary prescribed.

I like Ray Ban's new/old offering. They are bit different than the originals, but still cool.

I was watching "No Time For Sergeants" and noticed that the character Ben had a pair of round glasses....looked like Harry Potter a bit.

re: prescription shades...I have a really heavy prescription and progressive lenses so I can read and see the speedometer in the car, which drives the cost right through the roof. My last pair of normal glasses cost about $750. I can't justify spending that kind of money for shades. I also have a giant head, so my choices for any kind of frames tend to be limited...you should see the way a standard adult-size baseball cap perches on my head like a yarmulke.
