Speaking of the Spirit, I'm really looking forward to the new Spirit monthly from Darwyn Cooke that kicks off in December with a Spririt/Batman crossover. Eisner gave it his blessing before he passed.

Man, I've been hearing about the Cooke book (no pun intended) for about a YEAR now -- can't wait!

And while the statues are out of my price range, I did manage to pick up a Spirit action figure a few years ago:

I read why it's taking so long the other day, Cooke wanted to get a whole year done on it so when it starts there wont be any gaps. But the wait is finally over!

fftopic: I just got the Spirit/Batman comic book today. Cooke's illustrations definately aren't Eisner but enjoyable. The splash panel with the word SPIRIT was very clever.
