I saw an old thread on these jackets from 2012 but I thought I'd start a new one. I went down the rabbit hole last night reading about the CCC and thought it was really cool. And obviously, the jackets are pretty cool too!

The Buzz and Real McCoys ones are nifty, but out of my price range. Anyone have any details on this one from WPG?

The style is quite different from the shorter original ones I've seen, as well as most of the other reproductions. Not seeing any pictures from the 1930s with guys wearing this style either. Is the WPG an accurate repro of a different style? Any other companies doing repros besides the ones I've mentioned? Thanks.

The double layered back & cape over the front shoulders reminds me of a Filson double-Mackinaw, albeit with far fewer pockets. Variants on the design have been common around the Great Lakes and, I assume, lumber industry types out in the Pacific Northwest, for hundreds of years.

There's an extensive FL thread on the history of this style here.

Did you get the jacket and is it 100% wool?
