hi. New to here. Not sure if this is the right section to post this in. I recently inherited an antique cigar table. Wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it. Time period, functions, possible worth, etc. Any input at all is much appreciated. Thanks in advance

I can't tell you much other than its awesome!

I've seen similar with the stand ashtrays like that, but never quite like this. The ashtrays don't appear to match the table, and the table is different in construction from what one would expect for cigars (for example, I've never seen one where the humidor door is hinged on the bottom). I'm thinking the table itself may be a one-off homemade job (perhaps as a replacement?). But I really don't know. Still, it's a great piece.

Blowing life into an ancient thread... I was out in the Blue Ridge Mountains and came across this smoking, side table/liquor cabinet It was inexpensive and I thought I could clean it up and make a few bucks. Zero interest on any of the usual local websites. Pretty disappointing. I have no place for it so maybe it goes to the consignment shop. Lessons learned - either include the booze or stick to stuff I know.

It’s a handsome piece of furniture. Had I come across it (at a reasonable price), I would have snapped it up, too.

This one was left for the taking on East Colfax Avenue a few years back. It’s not valuable, really, being of fairly recent manufacture and all.

Doubtless made by the now-defunct Decatur Industries. Their products were a mainstay in pipe shops' offerings until they shut down. You can find a lot of their products on eBay.
