Damn..... I'm with @jonbuilder...... looks like mainly the 38-40 weight class will have to fight it out. Maybe @tmitchell has a 44 up his sleeve????? Either way this thread is gonna be fun to follow.

Grail jackets, yes they are. I'm wearing the Black Half-belt and the price keeps going up. You can't find this stuff for sale on most given days. It is more than old it's just Cool.

You know we are in the same weight class so my offering there are limited by my greed and ability to rationalize owning a jacket because it fits.

I have begun this road to sanity with the jackets I can't wear. Be patient, the larger sizes are in strong hands, but some will be released.

I'm warming up this one on my back. It has been stuffed for the last few years on display.

I know it doesn't fit. BE happy it doesn't. IF it did it would not be for sale. I'm selling those that don't fit.

This is a very cool vintage leather jacket; Basic Black Horsehide Half-belt, Work jacket from the late 1930s. This is the jacket those guys are wearing in those old photos. Very difficult to find. Have not seen one lately, and that means years.

@tmitchell59 since we’re not in the same weight class and won’t need to do battle haha. If you do have any secret size 34-38s hiding in the collection somewhere let me know and I may be able to take them off your hands since you can’t wear them anyways. Unless of course you’d potentially be holding on to them for research purposes or historical purposes. Completely understand that pov as we all appreciate the amount of work you put into researching all these brands and styles. Especially these smaller mid west makers and deer hide makers that without a few people like you around the world may very easily forget. I personally know I have you to thank for a ton of knowledge I’ve gained!

Hey @tmitchell59, this last one you posted with the plaid liner looks a lot like this jacket I have from CAGLECO.......Similar lining style and design aspects. Note the elastic mid back cinches and the zipperless left chest pocket. Not sure if mine is goat. I don't have it readily handy but I recall it being something non goat. Could well be since it is a lightweight jacket. Just an FYI on a possible ID for the thread and the listing.

Thank you, I appreciate your comments. Deciding what to sell and for what price can be a struggle. I'm having that struggle with this Black half-belt in this listing. I can't wear it and can't find one like it I can wear. I try to imagine what I would pay for the same jacket in my size. They just don't come around.

I'm always selling jackets in your size. I would think the Aviator and the Black half-belt would be close.

What are you looking for? Style, leather, etc.

Yes, does look very similar! No not goatskin. Is this the early label for what would become, Ralph Edwards?
