Mmmmm -- flavonoids!!!!

It also supposedly revs up your sex drive! I simply *had* to obey the doctors and keep a bar in my desk drawer and have a square or three every day. Hopefully this won't make me fat. This is the stuff in my drawer currently:

Great stuff!

And let us not omit the greatest hot chocolate in the universe: served at "Christian Constant", a cafe owned by the chocolatier in Paris. (M. Constant's chocolate shop is next door.)

Dark, bitter, and thick, the "chocolat chaud" served at Christian Constant is the kind you can stick a spoon into and it will stay upright.

Christian Constant
37, rue d’Assas, VIe. arrondissment
Paris, France
http://www.christianconstant.com/

(Runner-up: the hot chocolate served at any older cafe in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prepared in a small, beaten-copper pot with a wooden handle, and slowly poured -- with waiterly elan -- into your cup.)

I adore good white chocolate with high quality vanilla to go with the cocoa. One of the great advantages of having a friend in Brussels whose chap passes through on the way to visit every weekend is that 'care packages' can be sent back.

Mmmm... Belgian hand-made chocolates... :D

A friend once asked me: "If you could have only one for the rest of your life, what would it be, chocolate or cheese?"

Chocolate cheese cake would be a great middle ground, but as far as the original question . . . . Im still deciding.
