Thanks for sharing! The sizing format was unusual on the Gizemo M43!

I regularly wear US 38, and the Gizemo size 32 jacket ended up being a good fit. I have short arms and appreciated the shorter sleeve lengths on the M43.

I just love good AE sales!..... :) The vast jacket selection there can be overwhelming at times, and one has to really call out to grab my attention in style, construction, and measurements. Well, this jacket checked a lot of boxes at a great price... ;) EDIT: This was purchased from the Tailor Brando store for those interested...

I noticed this exact jacket listed at the Crush On Retro store for a higher price, which included a more detailed description of the leather thickness than AE:

crafted from substantial 1.5mm cowhide leather....

I always wanted a Waldo Pepper-styled jacket without knit cuffs, and now have one on the way at a price I can afford... ;) Very similar in style to BK's Rough Wear Waldo Pepper repro, but with no facings (which I prefer in an A-1 type jacket) or knit cuffs. I'll post some pics after it arrives in 10 days or so :) :

I neglected to take a Chinese holiday into consideration when calculating the shipping time initially, and had to wait a bit longer than the usual 10 days to receive the jacket. I was surprised to be contacted by Tailor Brando to inform me of this, and they would be upgrading the shipping for me to DHL Express at NO additional charge.... ;) :) A nice little leather pouch was also included as a gift. :)

I've been getting over a particularly nasty stomach bug, and am not up to fit pics ATM, but I did slip the jacket on, and it fits as well as expected from the listed measurements, which are great for me... :) I'll post some more pics when I'm feeling better.

The leather thickness is indeed 1.5mm on this one...:D This is a well-constructed beast-of-a-jacket for certain, and will actually take some break-in and sweat to tame. Pretty nice quality leather and color to boot for the $$ IMO ;) :

Thanks for the well wishes..... :) Yes, I am quite pleased with this jacket. I don't usually go for 3 piece sleeves, but am glad that I made an exception in this case. It is appropriate for the style.

Out of the other jackets I purchased from AE, this one is very close to something I would expect to receive from Aero or other premium makers for much more $$.. ;) VERY nice sturdy hide, well-stitched buttons, 75% wool / 25% poly herringbone lining, 100% cotton inside pocket lining, etc... Hell, I wouldn't think twice about throwing this jacket on for motorcycle riding around town, and feel protected from road-rash...

My house is the black hole of Calcutta for indoor pic taking, and I am lacking in photography skills (especially proper lighting) but here are a couple more that gives an idea of what I mean until I get better ones posted:
