[Two Types]

For those of you who can get Channel 5 in the UK, on Thursday 3rd July they are showing 'Child Soldiers of World War 2'.

This is a shameless plug for a documentary which is based on my book 'Blitz Kids'.

It tells the story of British teenagers who joined the military by giving false ages. It includes a boy who managed to get into the army aged just 14, but was thrown out twice when his true age was discovered.

Interesting. I lived down the street from a guy who'd gone in to Anzio at the age of 14, they determined his age and hauled him out of there, kicking and screaming, the very day before his entire rifle squad got wiped out trying to attack a bunker.
There's a orgnaization of underaged vets, of which he was a member. I'm sure there's something similar to that in the UK...
