New problem: after the corn starch treatment, I now have light spots from the starch that wont brush out........any ideas?

As Buler says, pics may help others understand the situation. Remember, clean water should be safe to use (on a good hat).

So what I did was use water and a baby's tooth brush (very soft bristles) to work the corn starch out. No more spots of grease or corn starch!!

Thanks everyone for the tips.

I'll have to call dipshit and let him know I got the spots out. Now feel kinda bad about knifing his tires, smearing vasaline on his windshield and all of the gay porn I ordered to be delivered to him at work....:eusa_doh:[huh]

My preferred method of cleaning is to wear the hat in a good rain storm. I find it really helps with spots and the overall cleanliness of the felt.

Of course I did not do any of the things in my post - he occasionally reads the posts here and I know that he will find that post hallarious. I am, however, requiring him to buy all the beer for next weekend :)

If you are going out with him again, might I suggest you make it mandatory that he wears gloves or is not allowed to touch your lids ever again....;)
