Checkered/Check pressed leather, rarest leather ever?

Anyone found out any information about this leather? How was it made? I found only two jackets made of this leather, one is well-known, from Golden State Vintage, and women's one.

Printed or stamped on? Wouldn't be hard to replicate, so no reason why it should be rare other than lack of demand for it.

Yes, it’s just goatskin, but in this variation, I think hardest to find original era pieces

I've never seen another like it. I wonder how many were made? Looks like something that might have been done as a seasonal variation in fashion - if it was only done one year as a novelty, it could end up being much rarer than some of the classic designs that stayed around for many years. Interesting to see the variation in the men's and women's design too.
