I'm going to have to disagree. On my Mac, it's clumsy and slow. The footlocker box opens and takes up half the screen, and won't go away. It looks terrible compared to the original.

Score; B-
Must try harder.

I know that Gary has size 50 patterns for some of his jackets, but refuses to make them since they were never issued in that size. Until he changes his mind, neither will I.
If he wants my money, he better start working for it.

It was time, really, for a revamp - commercially speaking, if it stays the same for too long, people get bored. Going to take me a while to find my way round that one, though. I can't seem to make the QM Depot come up - does that mean there's nothing in there currently, or am I not seeing the change? I don't find it as intuitive as the old site, but I'm sure it'll come in time.

Sorry to hear it's not running well at your end, Big J - it's running very fast and neat for me on my Mac!
Hey, check out the sneak peek of the Patton B-3 in the Blog section. Nice!!!

And he has stockists in China?! Wow. That's a bit like a salmon swimming upstream …!

Just click on Footlocker a second time and it goes away....

It works fine on my mac, maybe your connection is on the slow side!
To me this feels more intuitive and faster than the previous website..

The strongest element is that they've given it a much more elegant presentation, and moved it away from the cos-play feel that the previous one had and which put me off buying from them completely.

I agree, Sloan. For me, the old site was clearly influenced by The Golden Book's branding style in terms of colour and presentation - and this is a complete departure and an evolution away from it. I like it. It feels much fresher.

For me, the only thing missing is in the movies section - no mention of Hart's War.
Perhaps Gary didn't enjoy it?

This new format seems to be running a lot faster than the old one, which is a plus. In a way I kind of miss the old format, but it's an alright trade off I suppose. I do like the cute illustrations in the customer size chart page. Very nice.

Running OK on my new Mac. Might be the electrons traveling from afar, but it's not bad.
Overall look seems better, but images slow to load on occasion.
It still comes off as not matching the premium prices being asked IMO. While Good Wear and Aero have their needs, I like using both of those sites and give the nod to GW, even though it could probably use some spicing up now. JC's jacket pics are the best around IMO.
A site needs to give info, be easy to use, and have great product pics.
The one thing a site does not need is MUSIC piped in when you load a page. That is something that reminds me of the 90's when everyone discovered how to do that. Don't.

Doubled...
Becoming a collector item.
Guess even an original WW2 Irvin was never sold this high.
Gary must be doing great.

It's worse than that. 1600 pounds.
It's the Devon fleece. Rather rare, apparently - so it's a premium price.

Oh, plus Tax. Shipping. Duties. Handling fee. Black eye from the girlfriend.

Well, it is for me … but I suppose that IF the first Irvin you ever saw was Field Marshal Montgomery's (his was a Devon fleece type - with that distinctive thick curly wool) and that simply defined what an Irvin should look like to you and you always desired one, and if you've got plenty of disposable income and an understanding partner, well, it'd be the one to go for.

Me? I saw 633 Squadron as a kid and that was the one that "imprinted" on me … so I went for the affordable 1942 type. It's more than enough Irvin for me.

I like the new site. The hike in the price of the Devon Fleece Irvin puts it out of the reach of many but it should be snapped up in China!
