The same local gathering at this time of the year here in MN has me envisioning a bunch of "Yoopers" (Northern MN. or N. MI folks) driving rusty Chevy's wearing flannel, choppers (mittens) and swampers (big snow boots) at this time of the year. Hats at this time of the year are typically Chukes (French-Canadian tassel knit caps). Yah sure-hey - Youbetcha. The cultural show in your pics is WAY richer!
