Wet Chatham

I posted a note and pictures of my Chatham in the "Hats in the Elements" thread following a massive cloud burst that soaked the hat in less than a minute. Complete with paper towels showing powder leeching.

Got mine wet not too long ago

Well, I've had it for a while now. And I must say, it's holding up very nice. I got it sopping wet in this Washington rain and there was no bleeding, discoloration, warping, softening, fading, and what really excites me, no shrinkage!! This is the first felt hat I've ever owned that didn't shrink or misshaped when it dried after being wet. I've followed all the rules, no heat etc. but hats always shrank or the crowns tapered in. Not this Chatham Sovereign Stetson!
