Her beauty aside, for someone who is nuts, she seems rather committed to her increasingly large family and able to juggle her career and family very well. We should all be so crazy.

There was a picture of Angelina Jolie in one of the free London papers the other night. She did look extremely thin under her 1920s coat - she has very thin ankles.

I'm sure she was wearing a pair of 'Deco' remix shoes too, although it was hard to see properly.

I think she's just beautiful. And I don't think her weight loss is intentional. She said the loss of her mother was very stressful and taking care of 4 children and everything else, she's just lost weight.

Anyway, here are some more pictures!!!

Is she raising them or are a couple nannies raising the kids???? Unless we know for certain her home life any assumption on each part is just that, an assumption.

Put myself in the category of not liking tattoos either on women.

Occam's Razor dictates she is raising her family.
Why should we think otherwise?

Then don't date or marry them :) Don't associate with them if you chose to. But such critiques here show both a lack of respect for our right to personal choice, and a lack of courtesy.

From what I understand, Angelina and Brad take turns working so that one of them is always home with the kids. They even take the kids to school and pick them up themselves.

Also as goofy/crazy as she once was or still is, I think she's become quite a humanitarian concerned with helping the less fortunate. I once read an interview where she said that being an actress has become a means for her to be able to do her true love which is humanitarian work. Through her status she is able to raise awareness about refugees and donate very large sums of money to related charities. I can't help but admire that - especially in today's world of paparazzi-obssesed, empty talents like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

The main problem I see with tattoos on women is that in our society there is no cultural basis for the practise, so what happens is that young women quite often adorn themselves with cliched designs that look very attractive and sexually dangerous on a svelte or buxom young woman, but look revolting on them thirty years later when they are no longer living that lifestyle and have several kids and pounds to add to the package. There's a woman at least 60 in our town done all over like a Hell's Angel on a 19th century whaling ship, and it looks BAAAAAD I can tell you, gruesome in fact: horrible sword-carrying demons all hanging down in wrinkled flaps out of shape, I mean you gotta think about what impression that gives.
I've been in 3rd world countries and seen old tattooed women sitting there chewing betel nut under a palm tree, wearing a sarong...fine; the markings are a traditional part of their culture, but like it or not, in our society the inking of females has semiotic connotations that I think most women, if they thought about it, would not really want to take with them into their later years with dignity. My sisters all have small tats, but my wife....no way. I should say that I don't care what people do, nor am I being judgemental, these are just observations and conclusions drawn from them.

yeah...can we please refrain from the remarks about how ugly women are in tattoos, please? saying you don't like them...fine. i respect that. but, like kittyT already said, there are several of us on this forum who DO have them (raises hand), and got them for various reasons...most, i bet, not to look dangerous, sexy, or cliche.
thank you!!

Well, whether or not you like it, that is their choice and their problem, isn't it? It doesn't personally affect you, so why should you care?

I did say quite clearly I don't care if you read the post carefully; what I was pointing out was the impact it might have on social perceptions later in life. Some guys look dreadful too, and I grew up with a father who had plenty of them, and also had a girlfriend in my younger days with full sleeves, so I'm not lookin down my nose, but the fact remains that a hell of a lot of people do and make judgements based on that.
There was a great quote I remember about fashion tats: it's like having platform shoes surgically grafted to your feet, maybe a good idea at the time, but what about later when high heels come back.

Oh gimme a break and please remember that your comments are insulting to the many lovely ladies of the lounge (myself included) who have tattoos and find them to be an important form of art and self-expression. I respect your opinion and I'm sure everyone else here does to, but please try to be respectful in the way you express it.

Also, I highly suggest you read any book on tattoo history, and specifically "Bodies of Subversion: A Secret History of Women and Tattoo" by Margot Mifflin if you really want to understand the numerous reasons why women have chosen this form of body adornment throughout history.

Agreed on both counts. I'm not the hugest fan of head to toe tattooing, but I respect anyone's choice to do it. And really, never say never Lincsong. A few years ago I would have never dated anyone who smoked. Now I'm practically head over heels for someone who does. I don't agree with it, but I don't hold it against them. [huh]

Of course, but threads can go in different directions all the time and still be an interesting read.

I understand what you're trying to say Greg, but you still aren't saying it the best way. I wouldn't get, say... gauged ears either, but it's their choice to do it, whether or not they regret it later on. It's ultimately up to them to weigh the pros and cons before getting something that permanent, including what people may or may not judge them on.

It shows an age difference more than anything else. I'm 50 and associate tattoos with sailors. Up until the latest tattoo fad, sailors, prison inmates and nasty bikers were the only people who wore tats in the USA. Young ladies certainly never wore tats of any kind. And, that's how I'll always feel about tats.lol
Ms. Jolie is a knock out, always has been, always will be. I don't care for the way she lives her personal life, but she probably wouldn't care for how I live mine either....
I'll watch the movie , it should be interesting.
