Too nice not to show off.
It's a 1940s Champ "Diplomat" in "light Ecru", absolutely perfect condition. Size 6 7/8", it's a tad small (though it fits me more like a 7") but after some time on the stretcher it now fits my 7 1/8" head. It's an unusual pinkish-tan/salmon color with a chocolate-brown ribbon and tan edging on the brim. And the felt is nice and soft.
I do love this hat, it's now my favorite. Reminds me of a Art creation with the fantastic color, nice contrasting ribbon and fantastic condition. Looks new. I found it hanging with a bunch of vintage lady's hats. Here's the kicker: $4. My jaw dropped!
Enough chit-chat, now for pics.
The bash as I found it.
This pic shows the true color.
It's perfect for tilting on my head.
