Challenge:Vow renewal dress.

We are planning to go to Vegas in May and thought it would be fun to renew our vows. I loved our wedding,but felt that other than the ceremony we barely saw each other.So this is just for us.

Here's what I'm looking for:

I say shell out a little bit more money and get a whirling turban dress made with a circle skirt. If you get it made with cotton or silk, you can always dye it later! Better yet, you can get a separates set (skirt and top) and dye them separately later to really end up with some versatile pieces.

There are some great ones at Anthropologie that have a 50s feel. Some white, some colored all in that price range. I've been really happy with the dresses I have bought there.

Very nice choice Kitty!! Gosh I adore that Vivienne of Halloway dress, and for the price you certainly get a knock out!!

I was gonna also suggest looking at Unique Vintage, they have some awesome repros. I have been buying from her for years and have been so happy with their service and huge selection. The girl who runs the store is one of the sweetest people, so if you have any questions before buying call her directly, she is one of the most accommodating people I've ever worked with. The only thing about this site that makes me sad is that she has suddenly started selling more expensive lines. It used to be that you could buy repros for very little from her, but now she has raised all of her prices Although, she still has a lovely selection of things, and I'm sure you could find something there within your price range.

The original plan was to have our renewal for our 5th Anniversary(we have a thing for 5's)but my husband is going back to school in June and we plan to live frugally for the next 5 years once he starts. This is a bit of a last hurrah,so we decided to live it up!
