Celebrities jackets

Most celebrities don’t seem to care about the fit of their clothes. They just take what the stylist hands them. There are exceptions of course. Usually the ones that avoid the Hollywood lifestyle seem to have the best style. Daniel Day Lewis comes to mind. Not only one of my favorite actors by far, but a fellow able to avoid the pitfalls of celebrity life, yet able to deliver the goods like very few actors can. And he apparently understands fit too. This guy is just plain cool. He doesn’t have to try hard and it shows.

Say what you will about Depp, but he's had quite the collection over the years.

A typical fading pop/film star look.
2nd pic:
Nothing special about the jacket but the hat should have gone in the bin. Where did he get it, from the old Grapes of wrath wardrobe collection?
3rd pic:
A simple mess up.

Johnny Depp should have given up leather jackets when he finished Cry Baby.

A couple years ago I was at a vintage clothing flea market in Brooklyn. Johnny Depp was there, browsing the racks of clothes (all by himself, no girlfriend, no bodyguard, no “entourage “). He seemed like just another regular Joe.
We all knew who he was but no one bothered him for an autograph or a photo.
I think people in Brooklyn don’t get too caught up in the celebrity mania when we see a famous person as they do in other places.

Surely before we go any further, we need to see Justin Theroux wearing the heck out of one of his cafe racers.

Had to look him up - turns out I've seen acouple of tings hes in, but more that he wrote or voiced. Any case, he wears that jacket well. I like the fit, too. Thissort of plain cafe racer that everyone in Hollowood seems to have been wearing these last few years can go very wrong, imo, if worn too small, as it often is, but this look a decent fit.

Ewan Magregor wears that Lewis Lighting well; I thik itg looks great with a kilt. Don't see kiltsoften enough outsided of formalwear and those metalhead abominations thatclaim to bekilts but are really just a manskirt with pockets. ;)

Would love to know the brand of Depp's jacket.

He's a known Aero customer, but I suspect that one is an obscure vintage piece.

As well as Daniel Craig, Dave Grohl is a known Aero customer.

More importantly than any of them, so is Dave Vanian of the Damned:

Most celebs seem to enjoy portraying the fashion look of the cat walk for their public rather than the fitted appearance of a well measured jacket.

TBH, I think that applies to most people, really, insofar as most folks either just don't care as much about clothes as thed sort of folks who gravitate to forums like this, or tend just to be interested in fashion rather than forging their own path.

He's just copying Adam Ant at this point...

Ha, theyhae gotten more and more alike as they have aged.

Is that Axl Rose? God he’s aged horribly ha.

And he wasn't much of a looker to start with.....

Some celebs just can't conceive that they've turned a corner from cool to clown. When they begin fading they just add more strange. Of course there are fans that adore them anyway.

Again, though, I'm not sure (asided from having fans) that that's all that different to regular people.

I don't have a problem with Depp, and frankly it's kinda funny to me to hear some of the comments on this thread. In any case, I'm really only interested in the jackets that he's wearing. Like, what they look like. He's got the means to buy what he wants, and I'm impressed by the one's that are shown in these pictures. I'd sure like to own a few of them.

Depp has been in the news lately more for his financial troubles than for his iconic style or his acting.
It’s a shame because he’s a good actor and does indeed wear some great leather jackets!

I think Depp looks really cool, even in his most overdone ensemble.
It's fun, the jackets are all gems, it's not pretentious, it's not stupid and if he came up with it himself, all the more power to him. He's been wearing that heritage hipster biker stuff before the internet. Honestly, we're all wannabe's compared to Depp.

I mean, seems that nobody in this scene is going for anything new. You've got thousands of photos of people just standing there in their brand new leather jackets, indigo jeans with rolled up cuffs and engineer boots and that's as far as it goes with nobody even trying to do anything new with this style. Depp is at least having fun.

To be honest, in this day and age, leather jackets are actually just an accessory.
